Visa joins Digital Poland Association

Visa, one of the world’s leading digital payments companies, has joined the Digital Poland Association as an Associate Member. The partnership strengthens the Association’s expertise in modern financial services, e-commerce and the development of the digital economy.

For many years, Visa has been developing technologies that enable secure and seamless digital payments. Working closely with banks, fintech companies and businesses, the company supports the growth of innovative financial services, digital wallets and e-commerce. It places particular emphasis on promoting cashless payments, advancing digital wallet solutions, enhancing transaction security and helping businesses harness new technologies.

With its Polish operations now joining the Digital Poland Association, Visa becomes part of an organisation representing the leading technology companies operating in the Polish market. According to Michał Kanownik, President of the Digital Poland Association, Visa’s membership will further strengthen the organisation’s ability to address issues related to the digitalisation of financial services and the continued development of Poland’s digital economy.

“The development of the digital economy is inseparable from the advancement of modern payment solutions. Today, innovative financial services are one of the key pillars of the digital transformation of businesses, public administration and the entire e-commerce ecosystem. Visa’s decision to join our Association is an important milestone that enhances our expert community with the experience of a global leader in payment technologies,” said Michał Kanownik, President of the Digital Poland Association.

Within the Digital Poland Association, Visa will focus its engagement on initiatives supporting the development of digital wallets (e-wallets), wider adoption of electronic payments among small and medium-sized enterprises and local governments, financial education, and the continued growth of the e-commerce market. The company also intends to share its international expertise and contribute to initiatives aimed at building a modern, secure and resilient digital payments ecosystem in Poland.

“Joining the Digital Poland Association is a natural step for us. We want to work even more closely with companies and institutions that are driving Poland’s digital economy. For years, we have been committed to making payments simple, secure and convenient. Through this partnership, we look forward to helping develop solutions that make everyday life easier for consumers while supporting the growth of businesses,” said Mateusz Oleksy, Country Manager for Visa in Poland.
